Feng Shui and The Cosmic Trinity

The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any.- Alice Walker

The Cosmic Trinity, also known as The Three Lucks

I love learning and teaching tools to help empower both myself and my clients. We really have so much more control over what goes on in our life than most of us are aware of, or take advantage of. There is a concept in Feng Shui and Chinese Metaphysics called the Cosmic Trinity, also known as The Three Lucks. These are Heaven Luck, Human Luck and Earth Luck. While we cannot control all three of them, the good news is that we can affect two out of the three. The luck is stacked in our favor if we decide take advantage of it.

Heaven Luck

Heaven Luck involves predetermined factors such as what family we are born into, who our parents are, what class of society, and geographically where we were born and raised. There is nothing we can do about that now. So one-third of our luck is out of our control and we can let that go.

Human Luck

Human Luck is where we personally come in. This involves the kind of choices we make and actions we take in our daily lives. We have so much more control here than people practice. This area involves what we think, what we eat, and how we treat people. Are we meditating, exercising, taking care of ourselves? Are we grateful and kind? What is the energy we put out into the world? What are we choosing to watch on TV or what kind of books are we reading? Are we taking classes or learning new things, or do we mindlessly go through our day? What actions do we practice to cultivate our own personal energy?

The list is endless as to how we can contribute to our own human luck. We cannot control our circumstances, but we can control how we react to them. Of course, this involves practice, awareness, mindset and attitude. All of which we have control over.

Earth Luck

Lastly, Earth luck is where Feng Shui comes in. Sometimes we are fortunate enough to choose and love where we live, but often we might not be in our ideal home. We might want to move, or there might be other factors about our living situation that we cannot control, BUT there are many things that we can. We can always improve where we are. Even if we are working in a cubicle, or living in a guest house, we can do things to help the situation. We can keep our area nice and clean, and get rid of clutter. We can arrange our furniture and belongings in a way where we get the most positive energy flow.  We can bring in some energy enhancers like plants or fresh flowers. There are countless ways to improve our surroundings when we start applying Feng Shui. When we get the energy flowing right in our spaces, it ripples out to all aspects of our lives

Wishing you all sorts of luck!
